Created with the voice, two loop machines, and percussive found objects, Writ Ritm is a new song cycle conjuring up the femme and fluid saints of Haitian Vodou. Written and performed by Lenelle Moïse, songs suffused with hope celebrate the spirits of love, strength, pleasure, departure, destiny, and peace. How do voices gather, ground, plunge, root, and sustainably soar? Come join the choir to find out! Commissioned by the Huntington Theatre. Premiere date TBA.
